Jessica Lilas Carstairs is a registered Clinical Psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society’s (APS) College of Clinical Psychologists. Jessica has experience in both private and public sectors, including school, community, and hospital settings.

Jessica offers individual psychotherapy for adults and adolescents. At the core of Jessica’s work is an emphasis on building a warm, non-judgemental, and empathetic space, in which her clients feel safe and comfortable discussing difficult topics. Jessica firmly believes that growth and change can be achieved in a safe environment that welcomes honesty, genuineness, and a bit of humour at times! Jessica is passionate about supporting her clients to find their inner strengths and overcome challenges.

Jessica’s approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and client-centred. More specifically, Jessica aims to work collaboratively with her clients to set treatment goals and tailor her approach to meet their individual needs. Jessica draws on different therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), and psychodynamic.
