Psychology Week is on from November 11-17 in 2018. Our theme this year is the Power of Human Connection.

Loneliness is an increasing public health concern, associated with mental and physical ill health.

Psychologists are experts in helping people improve their social skills, build stronger connections, and enhance their relationships.

In 2018 the APS is collaborating with Swinburne University on a study of loneliness in Australia. This research will shine a light onto the wellbeing of Australians and their experience of social isolation.

Psychologists will be holding public events to provide advice on tackling loneliness, underpinned by a media and social campaign  to raise awareness.

Join in by downloading resources and planning events that help Australian combat loneliness  by empowering them with practical steps to build stronger relationships and be better connected.
