What is Self-Exploration?

Self-exploration can be thought of as the process of understanding one’s true self and of uncovering unrealised potential.

A lack of unity between the inner self and the one’s outside existence can create psychological discomfort. When things just aren’t feeling right, such as when we feel lost, or unmotivated – a deficiency of self-exploration may be an underlying factor. A neglect to self-reflect and self-explore can create conflicts in our minds, leading to issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, and self-esteem related problems.

On the positive side, self-exploration can offer clarity and insight, stimulating individual healing and growth – all of which promote heightened fulfillment, happiness and adaptive functioning in the world.
