Approach
Catherine utilises evidence based practice and therapies to get the best outcome for the client. She is holistic in her approach and believes context is important in guiding therapy. Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT) underpins the majority of her work with most clients. She endeavours to understand a clients history from developmental and attachment perspectives where appropriate to enhance the CBT work. She works at the level the client is comfortable with in helping them moving forward. Her specific approach varies somewhat as is dependent on client needs, problem area and individual factors.
She enjoys working with and has experience in treating a number of psychological difficulties however her special interests are in:
